Contact me for a quotation. I usually charge per word but each document is different.
Send me a copy of your document on paper, disk or by email with details of any specific requirements.
I will acknowledge receipt of your document and confirm the price quoted.
I will read through it, making corrections where appropriate. I will use:
proofreaders’ marks on paper (or if you prefer, comments in the margins) or
the Track Changes function in Microsoft Word. The latter is possibly the easiest option for most clients, as the errors are shown in red and you can then either accept all changes or go through each one at a time.
I will then return your document to you. Postage charges apply if it is a hard copy on paper or disk and I will use either the Royal Mail’s Recorded Signed For or Special Delivery service (depending on the value of the item).
After a quotation is accepted, I will begin work on your document upon receipt of a deposit of 50% of the fee. Fees can be paid by cheque, bank transfer or PayPal.
I will contact you once the work is completed. Upon receipt of the remaining 50% of the fee, I will return your work to you.
